Taal Crater Lake

What follows next is a mouthful: The Taal crater lake is the world's largest lake on an island in a lake on an island. So how did that happen? Huge volcanic eruptions created this natural wonder.

Shown in the photo is the actual crater lake inside the Taal caldera. This crater is so wide you'd need to either take a helicopter ride or use an extreme wide angle lens on a full-frame camera to get the full view. That small rock is Vulcan Point, an island within a lake (crater lake) within an island (Taal volcano) within a lake (Taal Lake) within an island (Luzon)

To get here, you would need to either take a donkey ride or walk up for a couple of hours from the shore.
