Giant Clam


A giant clam, locally known as taklobo (scientific name: Tridacna gigas), in a marine park in Bauan, Batangas. 

With an average lifespan of more than 100 years, the giant clams - the largest bivalve mollusk in the world - can grow up to 1.2 meters across and weigh as much as 200 pounds.
