New York Public Library


The main building of the New York Public Library, also known as Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street. 


The marble Beaux-Arts building was constructed in 1908 and inaugurated in 1911. The whole New York Public Library has around 59 million items in its collection, second to the Library of Congress.


The building also the location for several films, including Sex and the City, Spiderman, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Thomas Crown Affair.
